Really a 3.5. Super friendly staff, cheap food, and relatively tasty.

My dad wanted a place with rice, so we came here on a Sunday night. No wait, pretty empty actually to where I thought it was closed.

-Chicken corn soup: was not creamy as I expected but still good. Medium size is more than enough for 3 people to share (7.95 CAD)
-Beef chow mein: chow mein had a smoky flavor to it that was interesting. The gravy/sauce was good too (about 14 CAD)
-white rice is not free (2 CAD a bowl)

They also have preset menus I was tempted to try where it was 26 CAD and came with wonton soup, egg rolls, a chicken dish, fried rice etc. various combos like that from 2-6 or up people and seemed like a good deal.

I was walking up Clifton Hill and I got hungry and I went into Lotus Garden for a bite to eat.  Service was friendly and it seemed like there was alot of locals or people who knew what to eat but I guess I picked the wrong item.  I wanted something light and not having to bring any leftover back to my hotel.  I order N3 the beef rice noodle with black bean sauce and it was rather bland and the noodles stuck together.  I couldn't eat it all so I took it back to the hotel.  I hate to waste food but I ended up disposing it.  Next time if I am ever in this area, I will look to see what everyone else is eating!

For 3 of us to eat it was only $25! (Two entrees) Hooray for reasonable priced food in Niagara. The bad news is that the beef fried rice was pretty much just fried rice... I got the schezuan beef and it was really good. I love Chinese because it makes great leftovers as well.

We came back and I had the Mongolian beef which is usually sweet but this one is spicy!!! I paired it with the beef and fried rice noodles - new fave!!! Soooo good. We spent $50 on three entrees and still had a little bit of leftovers too.

The service was just OK, they make you feel rushed but I would return for the fairly priced food. And out of the few times I've been only one waitress rushes us every time while the other is relaxed.

I honestly hate lowering my reviews after a few visits, especially when I loved the place at first. However, it needed to go a star down. My friends and I came to Lotus Garden for dinner when we were in Niagara Falls. I used to love this place! The food portions were huge, the food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. Things have changed a bit here.

Upon arrival, we were seated pretty quickly. The staff here are still friendly and helpful, however the service isn't that quick, even though the restaurant wasn't busy during the time we went. Our waitress also kept forgetting a few things and we had to constantly remind her during the past visit.

The food portions definitely changed! It's a smaller portion than before. Also, the food wasn't super tasty as the past few visits. Don't get me wrong, it was still good and we finished it, however it was much different from my previous visits.

All in all, I would be back, but maybe just for take-out.
